ENSEA Alumni brought together several generations of engineers, students, staff and friends of the school for a day of celebration, emotion and transmission.

A festive, intergenerational day

Saturday, May 17, 2025 will remain etched in the memories of the ENSEA community. On the occasion of its 70ᵉ anniversary, ENSEA Alumni brought together several generations of engineers, students, staff and friends of the school for a day of celebration, emotion and transmission.

Held on the Cergy premises, the event brought together nearly 250 participants, representing over 40 graduating classes, from the class of 1966 to the students of 2027. A true crossroads of the decades, reflecting the vitality and diversity of the network.

At midday, participants were welcomed in a warm and friendly atmosphere over a Breton lunch of galettes and crêpes, served in Hall C and La Rue. For the duration of the day, these places of relaxation for students became meeting places for new friends.

The afternoon kicked off with a highlight: a series of keynote speeches tracing the evolution of the school and the association, featuring :
- Vincent Merval (00), current Managing Director of ENSEA,
- Laurence Hafemeister, former General Manager of ENSEA,
- Damien Moubêche (07), former president and outgoing general secretary of ENSEA Alumni.
- Bertrand Combaluzier (99), Executive Vice President, Group Industrialization Head at Cap Gemini and Chairman of the ENSEA Board of Directors from 2017 to 2023.
- Julien Drouet (00), Vice President Identity Solutions at IDEMIA and Chairman of the ENSEA Board of Directors since 2023.

They shared their vision, their memories, and highlighted the highlights of the shared history between the school and its alumni network. The emotion was palpable in the assembly as photos of past milestones flashed past.

At 3pm, the Extraordinary General Meeting took stock of the past year, announced future projects, and above all validated the reform of the association's bylaws, which now includes Bachelor's graduates in the alumni community. This decision, taken by a majority vote, will have a major impact on the future of the network.

The meeting also saw the election of a new Board of Directors:

Guided tours of ENSEA premises

After a gourmet break, participants were invited to explore the new spaces on campus, including the Fablab, the redeveloped gardens, the Curium and the Epsilon Lab (library). The tour was punctuated by surprises and mini-exhibitions on ENSEA's student associations. Artist Dadave was also on hand to create a collaborative work using electronic components brought in by some of the participants to give them a second life.

A cocktail at the Cave to end on a high note

The day ended at the Cave with a cocktail party hosted by the association, where discussions continued in a relaxed atmosphere. For the more motivated, the evening enabled all generations to relive the festive atmosphere of this mythical venue for dozens of promotions.

70 years of memories

This anniversary lived up to all its promises: links were renewed, faces were rediscovered and memories were revived. ENSEA Alumni proved, once again, that beyond the diversity of individual career paths, it is the strength of the collective and the attachment to the school that unites the Alumni community.
