Organizers / Managers
Presentation
The graduates of class 66 have been meeting regularly since graduating from ENSEA and have remained very close. They present their activities in the text they have written below.
THE 66 PROMO
What have we become? Young septuagenarians, full of life and desire, who like to get together regularly to share friendship, culture and the discovery (or rediscovery) of the region.
Reuniting us over 30 years after graduation was no easy task. It's thanks to the patience and persistence of the least hexagonal of us (he lives in Hong Kong!) that we've been able to re-establish the links that have been broken by years of activity.
After spaced-out reunions in 1998, 2002 and 2005 around tables in restaurants and inns in the Paris region, a proposal for a short stay to motivate the provincials was launched on the occasion of the promotion's fortieth anniversary in 2006.
The adventure began, with the Côtes de Nuits and Côtes de Beaune, Clos de Vougeot, Hospices de Beaune and a meal at Château de Gilly les Cîteaux. To say it was a good time is too easy, but in any case, it was a Premier Cru.
Since then, the event has continued on an almost annual basis, with a different organizer (but always one of us) and a different region to visit over three or four days. Participation varies according to each person's obligations, but the mailing list reconstituted thanks to the Internet and a lot of perseverance covers almost the entire promotion.
This is how an endless list of food for the mind and body can be compiled: Lyon, Guignol, the traboules, Fourvière and gastronomy; La Ciotat, Marseille, Cassis the calanques and the promène couillon; Bordeaux, Arcachon, the dune du Pilat, St EmilionLoches and its medieval city, Leonardo da Vinci and Le Clos Lucé, Valençay and the Duke of Talleyrand, Beauval ZooParkAlsace, the beautiful Riquewihr, Colmar and Bartholdi, Kaysersberg and Albert Schweitzer, the humanist library of Sélestat, wines and good foodAlbi, its magnificent cathedral, visits in the footsteps of Toulouse Lautrec, Najac, then a Pyrenean continuation to Aulon and the Aure valleyAmiens, its hortillonnages, the old town and its Cathedral, the memory of Jules Vernes, then the Bay of the Somme from Le Crotoy to Saint-Valéry-sur-Somme, Samara and the region's prehistoric past; Angers, in the footsteps of King René at his castle, the ancient city, the tapestry of theapocalypse tapestry, Jean Lurçat's tapestry, Fontevraud Abbey and the slate mines; and last but not least, in the Jubilee year of 2016the first meeting outside France in Brussels and Ghent, with their prestigious historical past, art nouveau, art deco, mussels, French fries, beer and chocolate.
With all this going on and time passing, some have left us. Our thoughts are with two of our CCP (Chers Copains de Promo) who left us in 2016. Pierrot, Jean-Louis, we miss you.
In 2013, under the impetus of our Webmaster, a site was developed. It brings together all the highlights of the year in photos, videos and text. On the one hand, you'll find school life from '62 to '66, with traditions, the class christening and some of the key players from that era, and on the other, all the images from our escapades, including a few computer-generated films made by the "Luc Bessons" of the class.
What's next? Some are busy giving us the best of the Sarlat region, capital of the Périgord Noir. Easy, some might say, but therein lies the difficulty: the material is too rich.
Many thanks to the Association's President and Board for hosting this page, and for giving us the opportunity to present these activities.
